Ready for the island?
Welcome in Vassiliki on the Island of Lefkada at the Guesthouse of Family Spanidis!
Lefkada is a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea, about 120 km South of Corfu, 35 km long and 15 km wide. Mountains up to 1150 meters and countless bays stamp a wild-romantic picture that shows its green side even in summer.
The place is easy to reach by plane to Preveza, from where you can go by bus or taxi across a long bridge to the largest town of the island, Lefkada. If you travel by own car, the best way is taking a ferry from Venice, Trieste or Ancona to Igoumenitsa (two car-hours from Lefkada). Passing the village Nidri you reach the South of the island, Vassiliki, after 30 minutes. Before looking for your rooms you should have a break for a coffee or a glas of wine in one of the many Coffee-Bars at the harbour. By the way: Not only the residents are convinced that Ulysses had his home on their island, some modern archeologic scientists do also..
